All set for Mongolia!

Got my ticket, got my visa, finally.
What a relief!

Today wandered about in various parks, and saw the Bell and Drum towers of Beijing, used for time keeping in the old days. Nearby are two interconnected small lakes, lined with bars and restaurants. All empty, because it was a bit early, I guess. I had to pickup my Mongolian visa at 3pm, so now time to go too far out. Traffic is so terrible that it will take hours to cross town, unless your destination is close to a subway station.
Tomorrow I will visit the Great Wall, at a section which is not restored, and very quiet and beautiful, according to some Dutch guys staying in my hostel who were there yesterday. I hope my feet will manage. Physical condition is still not optimal. With two gaping holes in my leg from infected mosquito bites which will just not heal, damaged heels from the previous mountain hike with new shoes, and a swollen left ankle. Luckily, the mysterious pain in my right elbow has disappeared. Maybe the medicin sold to me by a pharmacist in Xi'an did it's job after all.
