Leaving Chengdu, finally

It wasn't easy, but I got my train ticket to Xi'an in my pocket. Leaving at 8pm tonight.
Feet are a bit better, now I got myself a pair of new slippers that don't touch my wounded heels.
Some observations in Chengdu: many scooters and bicycles here are electric! It's a great innovation in a city where millions are occupying the roads. The pollutions caused by buses and trucks is horrible, but at least the slower traffic, including man-powerd rickshaws, are free of noise and exhaust gases.
Older ladies are doing there exercises on the riverside either individually or in groups, in the latter case synchronized by music from a ghetto blaster. Older men are playing cards, often for small money. Younger people are just hanging out, couples are almost invariably seen with the head of the girl resting in the lap of the guy, who is examining his mobile phone or mp3-player.
I ate pig's brain, throat and stomach, but declined the blood. I had whole baby catfish, smoked eal, various styles of noodles, and chillied cabbage. The food here is quite different from what I had before, but tasty, and spicy!
